Innocent animals are being euthanized every day at California shelters. This has got to stop. Many of these animals are held for such a short time they have no chance of getting noticed by potential adopters on websites or at the shelters. I volunteered for all animal rescue and German Shepherd rescue in the Sacramento area. Due to a shelter being angry with a puller because he voiced his feelings on how they determined if a dog was aggressive, he no longer had pulling rights. He asked me to adopt a dog he had been trying to save from the shelter. I went in, asked for this certain dog, and they said he had to be tested for aggressiveness before I could adopt him, or I wouldn't be able to take that one. The kennel keeper, a big young guy, took the dog into a room. I said I wanted to go, so he let me go into the room with them. He provoked the dog with a stick, poking the stick into his butt, sides, and other parts of the dogs body. He antagonized that dog so much, I felt like biting the kennel keeper. Luckily the dog passed and I was able to adopt him. So you see, what the shelters say is aggressive, is not aggression at all....IT IS A POWER PERSON TRYING TO BRING DOWN AN INNOCENT ANIMAL. NO-KILL IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THESE KILLINGS OF INNOCENT ANIMALS.
