Demand that the government of Cyprus organise an national pet neutering campaign

There are many dedicated groups and individuals constantly raising funds to organise trap, neuter and release programmes across Cyprus. They are doing a fantastic job but can only touch the tip of the iceberg while irresponsible owners continue to let their animals breed freely - then dump the litters, causing suffering to so many abandoned pets. The government needs to take action - to run an education campaign explaining why it is imperative that this attitude must change, and to bring the stray situation under control. There are veterinary surgeons ready to offer their services in a campaign - but the government must subsidise it to make it feasible. The government needs to take the lead in this - SOON.
