People should sign this so Baltimore can have a NHL team. It can be more than just a Baseball/Football town. We had a basketball team once upon a time and gave that up to Washington DC. We even had a couple hockey teams back in the day. I believe people in Maryland would like the idea of having a new team to root for. I could be wrong because there is a dominant fan base for the Washington Capitals in the DC/MD/VA area's. Personally I can see Baltimore having a NHL team one day at the Baltimore Arena. The reason why I created this petition is because the NHL still have 2 spots to fill in to make a league full of 32 teams like the NFL. If you take a close look at the Eastern & Western conferences, you will notice that it's uneven. Plus they are still debating what cities they should bring a new Hockey franchise to. They have Seattle, Houston, Kansas City, Quebec City, listed as potential candidates for a NHL team. There are also some rumors going around for teams like the New York Islanders to be sold and relocate into another city. With 2 spots left and possibly a team relocating somewhere else, it is possible for us to have a NHL team.
