The Toms River LA Fitness location has come to a corporate decision that they will be closing the current location and moving across the street, near the Ocean County Mall. This is due to happen one year from now and was made aware to The Smoothie Bar owner, Santo Lonigro, mid-January. Corporate has made the executive decision to EXCLUDE the Smoothie Bar from moving across the street to the new location. Thus, there will be no smoothie bar at all in the new Toms River location. With our customers' support and help, we are hoping to send a message to corporate that this decision is detrimental in which it will affect LA Fitness Toms River as a whole. For example, the Brick location opened a little over a month ago and most, if not all, our Smoothie Bar customers went to the location and instantly came back because the amenity of a smoothie bar was not offered. In the months to come, our goal is to convince corporate that there is an extreme need for The Smoothie Bar to be moved to the new location (still in Toms River) when the current location closes.
