BAN LARSEN TRAPS AND MULTI CORVID TRAPS

I am setting up this petition to stop the legal use of corvid traps/Larsen traps as this is a totally pointless and inhumane act. They are mostly used by gamekeepers/smallholders to kill crows and other corvids but inevitably also trap Birds of Prey who are then killed. A decoy bird is used to attract others. The bird suffers a terrifying ordeal by being trapped day and night and they have no choice but to watch as its fellow birds are brutally beaten to death in front of it. Many are used without food, water or any shelter from the elements, causing these beautiful, intelligent and social birds extreme distress. Larsen traps were invented in Denmark but are now BANNED in that country, as they are viewed as inhumane and extremely cruel. We ask that they are banned from sale and use in the UK.
