Agri-plastics: Stop Using Breast Cancer Awareness To Sell Animal Cruelty

Mother cows, to ensure a near-constant supply of milk, endure a never-ending cycle of cruelty – artificial insemination, pregnancy, birth, and finally having their young calves torn away and shoved into tiny plastic hutches.

Agri-plastics, the company that makes these inhumane hutches, has now partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and is making pink hutches for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in a campaign called, "Hutches for Hope."

Using breast cancer awareness to market this product, a practice commonly known as "pinkwashing," is astounding hypocritical. Agri-plastics is proclaiming it cares about the reproductive health of women, while blatantly exploiting and manipulating the health of female cows.

And, dairy production isn't just bad for cows – it is also known for its harmful impacts on human health and the environment.

Sign the petition and tell Agri-plastics: We're on to you! Stop using breast cancer awareness to market your products and mask the cruelty of the dairy industry.
