Protect The Gray Wolf From Extinction
The gray wolf has been an icon of western wilderness for decades, but the new budget deal will put them in danger once again.
The last-minute budget deal made by the House will take the endangered species protection away from gray wolves across most of the northern Rockies. Without that protection, gray wolves are left vulnerable to states planning to eliminate them.
The gray wolf has been close to extinction before, and it was only through careful reintroduction that their population is as strong as it is today.
Congress has never before taken an animal off of the endangered species list and they cannot be allowed to let the gray wolf vanish. Tell Congress to respect the Endangered Species Act and to protect the gray wolf from extinction.
The U.S. Senate stood strong against 18 budget riders that would have had severe consequences to our environment. That is why I am so disappointed that the final budget deal contains a provision that will take the endangered species status from the gray wolf and make the wolves vulnerable to mass killing and possibly extinction.

The gray wolf has faced possible extinction before and it cannot be left unprotected again. I demand that Congress stop its attack on the Endangered Species Act and protect the gray wolf.
