Justice for Animal Cruelty Victims
Victims of animal cruelty and neglect often suffer severe physical and psychological trauma.
Marshall is one of many victims of cruelty. He had been kicked, slapped, and punched in a prolonged beating by his trusted guardian. The Animal Legal Defense Fund provided a grant to help Marshall recover from this horrific abuse. We also provided a forensic veterinarian to examine Marshall and testify in court to the suffering he endured so his abuser would be brought to justice.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund partners with law enforcement and prosecutors in criminal cruelty cases so we can provide funds for food, shelter, and veterinary care for victims of abuse while also working to hold abusers accountable for their crimes.
In January, we provided a $21,000 grant to help care for 133 dogs seized from a dogfighting operation in Michigan — as part of the largest dogfighting bust in the state's history.
The lives of animals and their well-being are worth the time, funding, and effort it takes to give them the life, and the justice, they deserve.
Sign today to help us give animal victims the opportunity to heal, hold animal abusers accountable, and fight to end animal cruelty and injustice.
