Help Protect Birds from the Threats They Face

Birds make the time we spend out in nature even more special, especially near the coasts. But our coastal habitats are disappearing at an alarming rate, making it harder for the birds we love to survive.

Seabird populations across the world have decreased by more than 70% since 1950 because of development, pollution, overfishing, and climate change. Birds like ospreys, puffins, egrets, and terns face the threat of further declines.

Together, we can protect birds from the threats they face. Through our Coasts strategy, Audubon is working to reverse this crisis in multiple ways and protect these birds and their habitats.

From wetlands conservation to coastal restoration, the National Audubon Society is leading the way in protecting important habitats for hundreds of millions of coastal birds every year.  Sign today, and you can help Audubon protect our coasts for generations to come.
