End Bush Tax Cuts for the Wealthy

In 2001 and 2003, the Bush Administration cut taxes, the bulk of which benefited the wealthiest households.

By the end of 2010, these tax cuts will cost our nation $2.5 trillion. That's twice as much as the Iran and Afghanistan wars. Combined.

The Bush tax cuts -- rooted in the failed "trickle down" policies of the past -- lead to stagnant wages for middle class Americans while the wealthy became even MORE wealthy. Now we have the greatest economic disparity in wealth since the Great Depression.

Taxes aren't charity! They're part of our shared contract. We all benefit from living in this great nation, and we need to share the responsibility of supporting it.

Make the wealthy pull their weight. Tell Congress to end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy in 2010.
Dear Congress member,

By the end of 2010, these tax cuts will cost our nation $2.5 trillion. That's twice as much as the Iran and Afghanistan wars. Combined.
