Allow Dogs Off-Leash before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m. at Highland Park

To our knowledge, there are no areas in Felton, Ben Lomond, Brookdale or Bouder Creek that provide a reasonably sized grassy area where dogs can be exercised off-leash. Dogs are required to be on leash at all times anywhere in Highland Park in Ben Lomond.

High energy dogs who need to run and chase balls for exercise have no options unless their owner has adequate area on their own property.

We propose allowing dogs to be off-leash in Highland Park before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m. There is adequate area there for dogs to get adequate exercise and to socialize.

This activity would not interfere in any way with other activities that normally occur at Highland Park, including sports, skate-boarding, picnics etc...
