Stop early youth buck kills in Michigan, does only. Open gun season on Saturday!

I feel that our deer seasons have gotten poorer every year since the open youth hunts. Many people in this state have been buying tags for to many years to be reduced to second class citizens in favor of the younger hunter. I completely agree that we have to promote our youth to be interested in the hunting sports or take the chance of losing the privilege completely. It seems as though we need to ask if we are creating horn hunters only or true conservationists. With all the block permits we hand over to land owners I cannot believe that some sort of system could not be worked out to take care of crop damage and at the same time teach our youth good conservation ethics  and the value of delicious vension.
