If Congress Won't Act, Tell States to Ban Assault Weapons

Ten states have banned assault weapons. Sign your name to demand other states follow their lead.

Washington state just became the latest state to ban sales of assault weapons including AR-15s. We applaud the 10 states that have taken action to get these weapons of war off of our streets.

The tragic shootings in recent years in Uvalde, Parkland, Las Vegas, San Bernardino, Sandy Hook, and so many more were carried out with an AR-15, a weapon designed to kill many people quickly. There is no reason for any civilian to have these assault weapons in their possession.

Since Congress has refused to act after every tragedy we have experienced, these state-level bans are a meaningful way to tackle the gun violence epidemic in our country. And we need more of them.
