Protect the pelicans!

A California Brown Pelican was found in Long Beach with a slit along its entire throat pouch. The bird was skinny and close to starvation  because it couldn´t feed itself anymore, sadly no isolated case. Some people see them as a threat for their fish and thererfore mutilate or even kill them. A reward was offered to find those who mutilated the pelican. I urge those people to leave the pelicans alone, Pelicans also have a right to fish. Some people need to finally realize that they have to share this planet and not claim it to themselves. Please, if you have any information that could lead to the culprits, don´t hesitate to contact the IBR or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Thank you.
