On Tuesday, June 19, 2012 a group of ornithologists found almost a hundred of young cormorants with cut off beaks. They were found scared, hiding in the grass on one of the islands in Novokomlsk, Vitebsk region of Belarus. This is an unbelievable act of human cruelty! Even though they were kept alive, these birds can no longer feed and support themselves. They lost most of their basic senses.

We urgently need your help: join us, sign this petition and demand the Prosecutor's office of Vitebsk region in Belarus to start an immediate investigation and catch the responsible for this horrific crime! Until its too late, we Belarusian authorities have to catch and detain those who are behind this.
