Drop charges against cannabis researcher Todd Stimson
- af: charles mcmahan
- mottagare: Jeff Hunt district attorney of Henderson county North Carolina and Fletcher, North Carolina police chief Eric Summey
Todd Stimson has been openly running a running a cannabis research operation in Henderson county North Carolina since 2011. He has been growing marijuana and giving it to cancer patients. He has articles of incorporation from the state of North Carolina describing his business. He has a license from the state as a healer and he pays a special tax levied on marijuana by the state of North Carolina. In spite of this the Fletcher, North Carolina police raided his home with a fully armed swat team and fifty officers. He now faces five to ten years in prison. This is beyond absurd. The state has taken his money for three years apparently satisfied that he fulfiled all his legal obligations pertaining to the business. The town of Fletcher has a population of just over four thousand people yet has a massive police force for its size. This is certainly the American police state at its worst. The town and county should be ashamed and angry that their tax dollars are being wasted on excessive and irresponsible law enforcement. Please sign this petition to the Henderson county district attorney and the Fletcher chief of police. No one deserves this kind of treatment.
