Mayor Bottoms has violated her oath of office and is guilty of a failure to perform her duties in regard to the protection of her citizenry and their property by the dismantling and destabilizing of certain municipal services as it pertains to Public Safety. These include, but are not limited to; the obstruction of the functions of the Atlanta Police Department, the erosion of police and community relations, the failure to maintain proper employment with in the police department, the dismantling of police training standards by firing officers without due process, the failure to maintain a properly functioning municipal jail, the failure to maintain fire and emergency services with adequate equipment and facilities. Her failure to keep the city safe has cost billions in property damages and the countless deaths of our fellow citizens.
14,000 signatures are needed to remove her by formal recall petition. O.C.G.A. § 21-4- 5 states, " A public officer can be recalled at any time during his term of office except during the first 180 days or the last 180 days of his term of office.
Once a sitting Mayor is removed, the City Council President is sworn in as Mayor.
