Everyday people discover that they do not want or cannot care for an animal. Some people try to sell or give away their Pets on Craigslist or the newspaper instead of turning them in to a rescue or shelter. These animals all have needs and sometimes the new home they get does not provide the necessary food, shelter, and love.
Often the people who want to buy or get a free pet from Craigslist are not inspected by the animal's previous owner and may not have the best intentions. Animals die
from being tortured, abused, or neglected everyday and Craigslist is helping these killers find new victims
In one case one of these animals abusers brought his two children with him so that he would look like a man that would provide a good home. When his home was later investigated the animal rescue team found starving animals and other animals with awful injuries.
