Stop wild duck shooting in Victoria, Australia

Wild native Australian ducks are targeted every year in the State of Victoria Australia, starting in early Autumn/Fall. Hunters are allowed to shoot a specified "bag" of ducks; however, many other bird species, including protected species, are mistakenly shot and either wounded or killed outright. For many years, groups of concerned citizens have risked their lives to rescue wounded birds that the hunters leave to die a painful death. Now, the Victorian Government has legislated to ban these wonderful rescuers. You can now be arrested and fined for rescuing a wounded bird! This is crazy. For detailed information, please go to the fact sheet at the Animals Australia website. I would like to see this stupid law repealed, as well as a total ban on shooting all native birds.
