Lets end the Ivory Trade... or at least ban it in the UK.
Elephants, rhinos and horn bills are just some of the unfortunate animals that are effected by the ivory and illegal wildlife trade, with their body parts being sold for lots of money normally illegally. Yet it is still wiping out endangered and threatened animals every day of the year. Thankfully there are laws and measures in place to try and prevent these selling but there are still regular accounts where illegal parts are found and confiscated, both from sales in shops and via the internet and websites like Facebook. Although things are getting better there must be more done if we want to save these incredible animal before they become extinct.
China has already signaled a total ban, the USA has instituted one, and other nations, including the United Kingdom, are considering it. Countries are beginning to put in laws but we can help get things done quicker.The Duke of Cambridge has urged the Government to go ahead with a total ban on the domestic ivory trade to stop fueling the extinction of elephants.
Prince William, speaking at an international conference on the illegal wildlife trade, said endangered animals are still being slaughtered in "horrifying numbers" and called for an acceleration in efforts to tackle the crisis. It's time ot join the conservationists and MP's fighting to end this barbaric trade.... will you join them?
Lets end the slaughters of the ivory trade, save endangered species from extinction and end the illegal trade once and for all, on step at a time.
