Just Say NO to HR 3200

To our members of Congress, we the undersigned are asking you to vote NO to  HR 3200. It is very concerning that the elected politicians want to speed through this legislation before concerns are addressed.  At the heart of the matter is protecting patients rights.  Our healthcare system is the best in the world. We know there are problems with the system and that is where the focus should be, solving the current problems not diminishing and destroying the entire system. Let us begin with restructuring the insurance industries which is the largest expense in the healthcare system. Start with capping malpractice suits and stopping the frivilous lawsuits. Create free enterprise in the healthcare industry. Health insurance being offered by employers was first instituted in the WWII era as a way of getting around the wage freezes that were in effect at that time. Let's create a system where by the employer gives the employee that money for health insurance, let the employee choose what type of insurance he would like, if he wants any at all. Let's be transparant with posting the fees that are charged for doctor visits, treatments and procedures, hospital fees, all costs. Let the patient have the right to choose to have insurance or pay cash, the fee is the same. Healthcare decisions occur inside 4 walls and a door, between a physician and patient, there is no room for government in there and nor should they be as it violates the privacy of the patient. When healthcare providers lay their heads down at night, they know that they have provided the best quality of treatment for their patients, they are responsible for a small number of patients.  This legislation makes each elected member of government responsible for every American citizen. Do you really want that responsibility?
