Tim Burton to direct a 3rd Batman movie

It's been 25 years since Batman Returns landed in 1992. Tim Burton is a brilliant filmmaker and he is the director that truly understands Batman visually and thematically. Those first two batman movies really hold up and are brilliant works of art. I think the superhero genre has gone stale over the years and that's partly due to poor casting and directorial choices. Micheal Keaton is and always will be the batman, his portayal of an awkwardly social Bruce Wayne and ruthless caped viligante that is driven by justice is the perfect embodiment. now by fans asking for a 3rd installment we are not expecting it to be set in the same time period as the first two, in fact setting it in the 1980s with an older hardboiled Bruce Wayne would be great and given the social issues in 80s America. It would be interesting to use gotham to explore the issues that plague our world today.
