SPRING BIRD SHOOTING IN MALTA

MALTA is the last country in Europe where the shooting of migrating birds is a legal and popular sport. This is not for the protection of crops, wildlife or any other reason. It is simply "SPORT". Traditional, bigoted and barbaric - an outdated sport, which has no place in today's Europe. The Autumnal shooting season should not be exempt either. We, like birds, should avoid Malta until the shooting ban is in place. A bird free zone may also be a tourist free zone!
