The fracking in Australia is impacting our right to have a sustainable enviroment as well as a balanced ecosystem. Big companies are moving in to our farms and are beginning to set up there sites and gain money from them. Not too long ago, a farm in North Dakota has lost 5 of their cattle when a fracking site was placed next to their farm. Chemicals from the process of collecting the oil may accidently be released into the water systems damaging both flora and fauna. Recently, the New South Wales Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham showed one of the impacts of fracking to our enviroment by litterally setting Condamine river ON FIRE. This is due to methane from the fracking site nearby being released into the river. Due to all these reasons and many more horrific ones, we must stand together to bring down these big fracking companies.
