England is expanding its already horrific badger cull to South Devon, North Devon, and other rural communities. Badgers have become the scapegoats for an outbreak of tuberculosis among livestock. Thousands of these reclusive creatures stand to be destroyed by this heartless genocide.
Contrary to superstitious belief, however, badger culls have not been shown to make a difference in the incidence of cattle tuberculosis. Some experts believe that recent badger culls have, in fact, increased the number of cows and steers who contract TB. According to activists with Natural England, these culls disrupt the badger's complex social dynamics and leave lone badgers to wander further afield, potentially coming in contact with livestock.
Badgers are native to England, and they deserve to live their quiet lives in peace. Please join me in asking the United Kingdom's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to halt the upcoming planned badger cull!

It appears that the government of the United Kingdom is in cahoots with farmers to scapegoat the quiet badger for the outbreak of tuberculosis among cattle. Cattle could be contracting tuberculosis from a number of different sources, including humans. Scapegoating badgers is entirely unscientific and illogical. In fact, it is possible that the badger culls of prior years have only increased the incidence of TB among your livestock. Culls disrupt the badger's communities, leaving loners to prowl further than they typically would and potentially infect livestock. Please desist from this year's badger cull and prohibit such culls in the future.
