Fire Johnny Depp from “The Crimes of Grindelwald”

Johnny Depp is playing the lead in the newest Potterverse film, “The Crimes of Grindelwald”. Johnny Depp also pleaded guilty to domestic violence towards his partner, Amber Heard, right after he was cast—and J.K.R. states “the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies.” J.K.R., the author of the Potter books, has been an advocate against abuse, among other things, over the years. Not only that, but Harry Potter himself was a victim of domestic abuse for seventeen years. If she can’t see her own hypocrisy, we’ll make her see it—and while we’re at it, the role of Grindelwald can go to literally anyone else as long as their record’s clean.
