Demand stronger sentences on animal cruelty.

It horrifies me when I hear of yet another person being given a worthless sentence of being banned from keeping animals for the next 10 years. They should be locked up, as they are in America and given a hefty fine. The latest story was of a man in Airdrie in Scotland, who had eleven dogs, which were kept in a yard to sell illegally. Most of the dogs had to be put to sleep as they had parvo virus but he had over a million in assets and said it was not his fault. The dogs were kept in atrocious conditions and he was seen beating some of them with a stick. I would lock him up and throw away the key.
