Ban Single-Use Plastic

Single-use plastics, like straws, plastic bags, and water bottles, contribute significantly to environmental pollution. They often end up in landfills or the ocean, harming wildlife and ecosystems. Plastics take hundreds of years to decompose, creating long-term environmental damage.

A nationwide ban on single-use plastics could force companies to shift towards more sustainable alternatives, like biodegradable or reusable materials. Governments could also incentivize businesses to use eco-friendly packaging and encourage consumers to reduce their plastic consumption through education campaigns. For areas with limited recycling infrastructure, the government could invest in better waste management systems.
