This by-law will give dog owner only 24 hrs to find an accredited canine evaluator if the dog has caused a laceration on a person or another dog before being murdered.
Any type of injury where the skin is broken will be met with an automatic death sentence regardless of scenario or circumstances. This is insane!
Montreal just murdered Wicca...seems they got a taste of blood..
Sign..let them know the world is watching and we will not just sit back and let them kill dog after dog....
Toronto has a different manner of dealing with dog bites and perhaps this could be looked at as an alternative. It is as follows:
§ 349-14. Dogs that have bitten persons or animals; muzzles.
[Amended 2009-03-31 by By-law No. 349-2009]

domestic animal, the Executive Director shall:
(1) Where the bite is the first bite on record with the City, and where the bite
occurred on the owner's premises, serve the owner with a notice of caution.
(2) Serve the owner with a notice to muzzle if in his or her opinion the bite
referred to in Subsection A(1) is severe.
(3) Where the bite is a second or subsequent bite on record with the City, serve
the owner with a notice to muzzle.
B. Where the Executive Director has reason to believe that a dog has bitten a person or
domestic animal in the City other than on the owner's premises, the Executive
Director shall serve the owner with a notice to muzzle.
