Refundable charge on plastic/glass bottles, cans in Northern Ireland

Have you seen the Litter over the past weeks good weather.
I just spent a weekend at Benone Beach. The litter left by the crowds was a Disgrace and a Deposit of 20p on these items would solve most of the the problem, as is with the plastic bag tax.

Dear Alex
Please do whatever it takes to implement legislation towards introducing this
deposit charge. I believe it would be a great step towards cleaning up our island.
Having just returned from Germany there is no problem with Cans/Plastic & Glass Bottles there.
