STOP DEVELOPMENT IN HI-POINTE NEIGHBORHOOD

Developers currently have actual plans to obtain single-family properties in the 900 block of Skinker Blvd. in the historic Hi-Pointe neighborhood, demolish them, and build a three to five level multi-family project. Another developer may be interested in building a high rise. Initial canvassing has revealed emphatic negative responses from Hi-Pointe residents to such development now or in the foreseeable future.  We want to discourage demolition of historic houses in good condition and maintain the current Single-Family Dwelling District zoning in our part of the Hi-Pointe Demun neighborhood.  If you are against demolition of historic homes in good condition and the changing of zoning to permit development of multi-family units in our neighborhood, please sign this Petition, so we can send a clear and unequivocal message to both developers and our political representatives that our neighborhood is firmly opposed.
