Ban Octopus Farming in New Jersey

If commercial octopus farming came to NJ, it would wreak havoc on our already fragile ecosystems by releasing excessive waste, and fueling harmful algal blooms (which would cause more beach closures such as Lake Hopatcong, Beachwood Beach, and Spruce Run in NJ). Because octopus eat 3x their weight in crabs, the crab prices for humans would increase. Also the small tanks where hundreds of octopuses are held captive, are cruel, as these intelligent beings like to explore alone (not be crammed in tanks with other octopuses).
