Calls to toughen dog fighting laws & make it a law in its own right

Dog fighting is a huge problem in this country. Not only are the dogs abused terribly, many are stolen family companions or obtained on the net via 'free to good home' ads. I would like to see 'free ads' banned across the board when it comes to selling or needing to rehome dogs/cats etc This to be replaced with full fee charging and anyone needing to rehome dogs MUST go through a rescue & adoption centre. As for those involved with dog fighting: They should get a minimum jail term with no parole & placed on a violent offenders register plus an animal offenders register making it harder for them to obtain dogs in the future. Any land owners or spectators should also be punished & fined for participating in these cruel activities.
