Protect Portrait Hill Students and Community Residents From CMS Overflow Traffic

The Portrait Hill community has been plagued with excessive traffic from non-residents dropping off and picking up students in our community to avoid traffic at CMS. This high volume of non residents has created serious safety concerns for all in our neighborhood as well as those non-resident students. This puts people in harms way, creates liability concerns for Portrait Hill residents and Lex/Rich 5, and causes unnecessary wear to our roads and parking areas around the club house which our residents are financially responsible to maintain.

We must gain support from Richland County, Lex/Rich 5, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to address these issues. Several solutions have already been voiced and by working collaboratively with local officials, we can ensure a solution that protects our students, residents, mitigates legal risk, and prevents unnecessary cost burden to residents.
