MAINTAIN VACCINATION RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION IN CONNECTICUT

We, the undersigned free people of Connecticut, hereby stand for our Religious Freedom and the Right to Education as guaranteed in the Connecticut Constitution:

ARTICLE FIRST of SEC. 3 .The exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination, shall forever be free to all persons in the state; provided, that the right hereby declared and established, shall not be so construed as to excuse acts of licentiousness, or to justify practices inconsistent with the peace and safety of the state.

ARTICLE EIGHTH of SEC. 1. There shall always be free public elementary and secondary schools in the state. The general assembly shall implement this principle by appropriate legislation.

We reject any proposal to remove vaccination religious exemption, as doing so will violate our Connecticut Constitutional rights to religious freedom and infringe our children's rights to free and public education in Connecticut.
