Save the Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest is extremely important for the survival of all beings on this planet. About 20 percent of the earth's oxygen is produced by the Amazon Rainforest. It is called "The Lungs of Our Planet" simply
because it provides the essential service of continuously recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen.
In the last decades, research has established a clear link between the health of the Amazon and the integrity of the global environment. Today, rapid deforestation threatens the Amazon. At current rates, 55 percent of its rain forests could be gone by 2030, a looming disaster not only for the plants and animals, but for the world.
In order to stop this from happening, we must create stricter laws on deforestation. Help the people there find sustainable ways to get the supplies they need. We need to take action before it is too late.
We the undersigned are writing to you about saving the Amazon Rainforest.

In order to stop this, we need to protect the rainforest and help the people living there get their supplies in sustainable ways. Please take these steps to ensure the survival of our planet.
