End Horse Slaughter Once And For All

          AMERICANS DON'T EAT HORSES! So, why should our government officials condone the slaughter of our horses for human consumption in European countries? Every day thousands of horses, wild horses, retired race horses, horses seized from abusive owners, and family companions that were sadly given up, are trucked to slaughterhouses in Canada and Mexico to be brutally slaughtered to feed rich Europeans. Why? Why are we, as a society allowing this carnage to continue?
            There are so many people out there that could benefit from a relationship with a horse; the lonely child, the autistic, the physically challenged. These American icons do not deserve the indignity of such a brutal death. They deserve a second chance at love, life, and freedom.
