Tell Wal-mart- Reinstate Employee for Protecting Dog Left in a Hot Truck

Carla Cheney, a former Wal-mart employee at the Kemptville, Ontario location, had confronted a customer who left his dog in a hot truck, and claims she was fired for it.

While she was not even on the Wal-mart clock, Cheney told the customer that he shouldn't leave the dog in the hot truck, as it was unsafe, and the owner told her it was "none of her business". Cheney told the man she would call the police to report it, -(as is often advised on the news not to leave dogs hot cars as it can lead to heat stroke and death)- and later that day, Cheney was called into the managers office and terminated. She says she is not the first employee that it has happened to, either.

In many communities it is illegal to leave a dog in a hot car. Tell Wal-mart to stop terminating employees for being law abiding citizens, and reinstate Carla Cheney to her job at Wal-mart for trying to do the right thing.
