We demand an end to cruelty against animals both domestic and wild.

Botswana has a free range approach to livestock keeping. As a result, many people have resorted to all types of measures to keep their animals within bay including fastening two animals together by their nicks or legs, strapping the front legs, among others. Most of the animals are treated cruelly (donkey carts) and not treated for any wounds or sickness. The dogs are always beaten up and not well fed or taken care off. Some animals (including cows, donkeys and goats) get knocked on the highways and stay there immobilized in temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius and even the owners never show up to rescue the animals. Only one animal care institution is found in Botswana with no funding to meet the demands. We therefore need more public awareness and funding towards this course.
