Bacha bazi or bacha bareesh is a centuries old Afghan tradition, involving taking young boys, dressing them up like girls, and making them perform for older men.They are forced to perform in tea rooms, weddings, and other "private" functions.
The boys are owned by single or sometimes married men who trade or keep the boys as sexual slaves. The boys’ ages range from 8 to 19. This is a disgusting practice my crew and I desperately want, and need, to stop. Bacha bazi is an increasingly lucrative business,and these boy slaves are seen as important status symbols of the wealthy.
They strive to have the best, most comely, and good-looking boy. These children are viewed not as people, but as objects, and when the boys try to escape they are often beaten and/or killed. Little will be done, unless we do what must be done because make no mistake THIS IS MODERN DAY SLAVERY. so tell president obama, prime minister cameron and the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Afghanistan Mark Bowden

At the end of the night, the boys are loaned out,traded or auctioned off to the highest bidder

Bacha Bazi technically illegal but almost completely UNENFORCED BECAUSE OF THE STATUS OF THE MEN ENGAUGING IN IT some Afghan authorities, including police members, have been caught at "boy parties." These children enter the world of Bacha Bazi with no idea of what will be expected of them, and are trapped in a web of rape and violence. Boys who cross their masters have been murdered. The boys of Afghanistan need your help. Please Mr. Obama , prime minister Cameron and Mr. Bowden Encourage President Karzai to enforce laws against Bacha Bazi and put an end to this practice.
