Show support for a second cabin at Settlers Cove.

Ketchikan has only one drive up accessible cabin. This cabin at Settlers Cove has been so successful that it is fully booked this year from May to mid September. Most weekends during winter are also booked. Since being built in 2013 it has paid for itself and now actually generates revenue for the State.
The State of Alaska has allocated $500,000 to build 5 new cabins and locations have not yet been determined.
By signing this petition you are indicating your support that Ketchikan should be chosen for a new cabin at either Settlers Cove State Park or a Ketchikan Area Marine Park.
Facts:
🏠Easily accessible State public use cabins recoup their initial investment cost in a few years and then generate revenue for the State.
🏠Ketchikan has only one drive up cabin and it's not meeting demand. Currently there are no vacancies through summer and you must book 2 months in advance, even during winter months.
🏠Drive up or short walk in cabins offer outdoor recreational opportunities for individuals with mobility issues, families with young children and people who cannot afford the high transportation costs to access remote cabins.
Please sign this petition to show your support for bringing a second cabin to Ketchikan!
