Urge USDA to Save Ben the Bear from Cruel Zoo

  • af: Piper Hoffman
  • mottagare: Tom Vilsack, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture

Save Ben the Bear from living alone in a barren wire cage on a concrete floor.

His owner, Jambbas Ranch Tours in North Carolina, is supposed to follow the Animal Welfare Act, but it violates the law and neglects Ben and its many other animals.

Places that violate the Animal Welfare Act
like Jambbas are not eligible for licenses to keep animals. But the United States Department of Agriculture renewed Jambbas's license anyway, leaving Ben right where he is.

Call on USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack to follow the law and deny Jambbas a license to keep animals, and to release Ben and the others to sanctuaries and people who will give them good lives.

Dear Secretary Vilsack,

I urge you to refuse an Animal Welfare Act license to Jambbas Ranch of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The USDA has cited Jambbas for a series of animal welfare violations, acknowledging that it does not follow the law and does not provide even the most minimal adequate care to its animals.

Please do not allow Jambbas to own animals and help ensure that the animals it currently exhibits can be released to sanctuaries and good homes.
