Get rid of the Totnes blue gnomes

The Disney dwarves - aka 'The Totnes Blue Gnomes' - that have set up residency at the busiest roundabout in Totnes are inappropriate and tacky. In addition, the dwarves do nothing to enhance the reputation of the town and are making us the focus of national media attention - a laughing stock. They are made of concrete and possibly made in China - this is not in line with our status as the home of the Transition Network, nor was there any consultation with the public. They do not have planning permission - if I set up Seven Dwarves outside my house the District Council and my neighbours would no doubt have something to say but these guys have not been given planning consent. Sponsorship of roundabouts is commonplace and usually done in a tasteful and discrete manner - sorry but the gnomes have to go...
