Put an end to fear and homophobia in our school environment.
People that aren’t queer have fears of being ostracized and bullied because of people believing they are. Where does that put people who are queer? If you can be bullied because people believe you are queer, then you can be bullied because you are. And queer people in our school environment most likely feel this way. Even I, an extremely open person, am scared of people judging me. I’ve decided to take action because enough is enough. By signing this petition, who are pledging to join the fight to end homophobia in our school environment, or at least in our grade. Send this to whoever you think will sign it. Take action in school, too. If you see someone calling someone gay as an insult, speak up. Tell them there’s nothing wrong with being gay, and to not let people get accustomed to hearing it as a bad thing. Hear a boy telling his friend he acts like a girl? Tell them there’s no way to act like a girl, and there’s nothing wrong with being feminine. Take a stand to end homophobia in our school.
