We demand you take action to save our wolves!

Please correct me if I am wrong – isn’t the purpose of fws agencies to preserve and protect our wildlife, not to destroy it? Why eradicate an entire species when there are MANY other predators that are just as responsible? Without wolves to initiate the feeding cycle, countless other wildlife will die off – including but not limited to: eagles, hawks, foxes, coyotes, bears, panthers, ravens, and even insects just to name a few! Are you really ready to commit wildlife genocide?
So let me get this straight - you are saying the use of judas wolves, aerial hunting, baiting wolves, poisoning wolves, legal/illegal hunting of wolves, trapping wolves, using dogs to hunt wolves is all part of conservation? Sounds more like desperation! Those actions will only lead to more illegal hunting/trapping/poaching wolves using any means necessary to kill wolves. The proof is already in the pudding! That is not conservation at all, quite the opposite.
You can use any excuse or means to justify it anyway you want, but the results are still the same! Conservation management means to preserve, to save, to re-introduce! That goes for the habitat too. You are sadly mistaken if you call this wildlife conservation management!
Let's look at some definitions!
Protection: the action of protecting someone or something, or the state of being protected.
Habitat: the natural home or environment of an animal, plant, or other organism.
Ecosystem: a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.
Extinction: the state or process of a species, family, or larger group being or becoming extinct.
Endangered: (of a species) seriously at risk of extinction.
Nowhere in those definitions do they mention eradicate any species for any reason.
But these are NOT acts of conservation:
Poaching: has traditionally been defined as the illegal hunting, killing, or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights.
Control: determine the behavior or supervise the running of.
Managing: having executive or supervisory control or authority.
Killing: an act of causing death, especially deliberately.
Hunting: the activity of hunting wild animals or game, especially for food or sport. Trapping: catch (an animal) in a trap.
You do so much other wonderful work for numerous animals, yet none of that matters when you kill wildlife for no true viable reason! There are MANY proven non-lethal ways of managing wildlife.
Now let’s look at the Second Amendment – which too many people twist it around for their own benefit!
The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791. It reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
While I don't intend to be negative about the second amendment, many people twist it from what it was actually intended for! The right to protect yourself. Nowhere in it does it mention the act of slaughtering an entire species. In fact it doesn't even mention hunting either! Also, can you show me recent documented proof of a healthy wolf attacking a person?
So correct me if I am wrong, but aren't wolves and other apex predators meant to be wild? Along with that, aren't other "wildlife" animals also meant to be wild? Do predators know the difference between wild prey and livestock? Weren't predators present in most places before humans? Do we not intrude on their territory? How many species will starve without wolves to initiate the feeding cycle? Do they not symbolize freedom in America? Do they not constitute smaller predator control? Do they not generate income as tourists attractions?
In 1926 the last Yellowstone wolf was killed, yet Yellowstone Park has reintroduced wolves once again, and already they face the same tyranny as before. In 1973 the endangered species act was finally enforced due to the outcry for support! But that didn’t stop wolves from being illegally hunted and/or slaughtered, thanks mostly to the many complaining ranchers. FOR NO VIABLE REASON I might add! Also, the numbers are almost similar to what they were in 1973!
In North Carolina the red wolf was making a slow comeback until very recently when FWS turned their backs on them! It is the exact same situation with Mexican wolves! The ordeals in Oregon, Montana and especially Idaho could have avoided their wolf culls simply by using PROVEN NON LETHAL techniques! But they chose not to!
Wolves are born to hunt, it’s the law of nature but only 1 in 5 attempts is successful. Recent research is finding that many of the so called “wolf kills” actually occurred AFTER the prey has already either died or become infected with 1 of countless illnesses! Elk and wildlife feeding lots are making wolf encounters more frequent than they normally would be.
While nobody wants to see livestock killed by any predator, it will happen, and that’s life! There is a compensation program set in place for livestock killed by wolves, is there not?
Wolves also are the backbone of wildlife as most other animals that share their habitat depend on them for so much! However, there are MANY NUMEROUS crimes against wildlife which never receive due justice, primarily because feds basically just turn their backs on them and the situations! This has been documented!
In closing, this goes for ALL predators - the corruption in most agencies like this favors the ranchers and our tax dollars are funding this, and our wildlife is suffering the consequences of it!
So, who gives you the right to play God?
Your actions must cease now before it's too late!
