Don't Test E-Cigarettes on Animals!
"Vaping" -- inhaling flavored and often nicotine-enhanced liquid through an electronic vaporizer -- has grown in popularity as a less harmful alternative to smoking cigarettes. But now that the FDA will be required to approve vaping products, animals may be forced to suffer through painful and intrusive tests.
Using e-cigarettes is a recreational choice. Animals don't choose to smoke or "vape," and they shouldn't be subjected to harmful experiments for the purposes of testing recreational nicotine products.
Countries such as Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom have already banned animal tests on tobacco products (the category which includes e-cigarettes). In-vitro and human based tests are much more accurate and humane. Please sign the petition to urge the FDA not to test e-cigarettes and related vaping products on animals!
I am concerned about the use of animals in experiments to test vaping materials such as e-cigarettes.
