Whereas, the continued need to cool down the melted down reactors has produced tens of thousands of tons of radioactive water with 866 contaminated water tanks at the Fukushima plant and 350 tons of contaminated water being stored everyday and,
Whereas, the Abe government nuclear safety regulator Shunichi Tanaka, chair of the Nuclear Regulation Authority, is preparing to release thousands of tons of contaminated radioactive water into the Pacific ocean and,

Whereas, the release of this massive amount of radioactive water will seriously harm the maritime environment and the entire Pacific rim region including the US and,
Whereas, the issue of the release of radioactive water into the Pacific ocean is not just a Japanese issue but an issue for the world and all its people,
Whereas, Tokyo Electric Power Company TEPCO is now controlled by the Japanese government and the Abe government is responsible for health and safety as well as environmental protection and,
Whereas, the people of the world must hold the Abe government responsible for this planned release of nuclear radioactive water,
Therefore we the following individuals and organizations call
On the Abe government to immediately halt any plans for the release of radioactive water into the Pacific.

Emergency Action Worldwide on March 11, 2015, the fourth anniversary of the Fukushima disaster, to stop Japanese government release of radioactive water Into Pacific. . This would threaten the health and safety of people and the environment throughout the Pacific Rim. We need emergency demonstrations and speak-outs at all Japanese Consulates and Embassies
