Demand an End to the Slaying of Stray Cats & Dogs Now!

Stray cats and dogs are very common on the streets of Egypt and especially in big cities like Cairo and Alexandria, where they feed on what they can find in large garbage dumps and overflowing neighborhood dumpsters.

Some people feed them, some give them homes and shelters. The government and local police choose to hunt them down with shotguns in an effort to cut their numbers down.

The helpless and usually friendly animals are tricked into approaching the officers under the pretense of feeding, and then shot... sometimes several times until dead.

The only way this can be stopped is demanding the Ministry of Health take over and find a humane solution to dealing with the problem.
I personally know many people that would adopt stray animals, If they are clean and certifiably healthy.

We can't just watch armed policemen gun down helpless animals and do nothing.
