Last Saturday 14-year-old Hannah Guzman from Kansas City, Missouri, who suffers from Asperger's syndrome, watched her beloved therapy dog Tobee die, after he had been shot by her next-door neighbor.
The dog had simply wandered into the next door yard; the neighbor objected, so he went into his house, got his gun, and came back out and shot Tobee.
Hannah’s grandfather heard a shot around 8 am, and when the family realized their dog was missing, they rushed outside and found the animal under a tree in the neighbor's yard, covered by a sheet but still alive and gasping for air. The family rushed the dog to a vet, but it was too late. Doctors were unable to save the family pet, and he was euthanized later that day.
