Recognize Lacrosse as a Varsity Sport in MDCPS

A stated goal of Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the provision of athletic opportunities to all high school students. In order to increase the playing opportunities for Lacrosse players and facilitate the scheduling of games, the sport needs to be recognized by the FHSAA as a varsity sport. The high school lacrosse booster clubs will finance 100% of the cost to play, including subsidies for those players who cannot afford to pay.

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Athletic Directors, Principals, Greater Miami Athletic Conference, Superintendent and School Board Members support our students and place lacrosse on Miami-Dade%u2019s list of varsity sports so it can be recognized as a varsity sport by the FHSAA.
